Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

I met my mother in New York to see the Macy's Thankgiving Day Parade this year. It was pretty cool to be there in person. You don't really get a sense of scale from what you see on television. But after walking around a bit in New York, then showing up the next day for the parade, you appreciate the spectacle more.

Sarah Mei's 6th Birthday

These are pictures from my good friend Sarah Mei's sixth birthday party. There was a pool party, then cake (of course), followed by a crash course in kung fu, and finally the ceremonial destruction of a candy-filled panda.

Caribbean Princess - Cruise to Nova Scotia, Day Three and Four

Our third day found us in port at the city of St. John in Canada. We toured the Reversing Falls, which is a portion of the river that reverses periodically. After wrapping up that scintillating journey, we moved on to Bar Harbor, Maine. We were tendered to shore that day, so we got a chance to see the outside of the boat up close from water level. We took a bus tour around the area which afforded some lovely views of the ocean.
